Best Practice: Pressureless Single Filing Conveyors Relieve Back Pressure

November 17, 2011

Accumulation ConveyorThese pressureless single filing conveyors are a “best practice” example of discharging products from a bi-directional table.

Bi-directional tables are often used for off-line temporary storage. When the accumulation table receives the signal to unload, the discharge conveyors need a smooth system to handle the surge of products coming out of the table.

If the conveyor layout is effective, like the pressureless conveyors to the left, they will prevent jamming and product damage and ensure a smooth flow of product down the line.

Multiple conveyors in these types of single filing and combining conveyors relieve back pressure. They also allow the product to de-nest as they travel downstream onto the main trunk conveyor line.
