The laning / diverting solution featured in the video, was engineered for a high volume baking production line. The moving chain solution concept solved for product handling integrity with no impact. Oils and seasonings applied to the product remained intact since there was no side impact needed to handle the baked product while being conveyed. This equipment solution diverts baked goods into three different lanes on a moving lateral matstyle chain without the use of moving guides or side rails. Servo technology is utilized to control the speed and stopping of the chain as it moves between lanes. Depending on the application, lateral chain diverts can run up to 150 feet per minute. On this unit, the servo drive pauses the chain while it is moving into another lane position. The Lateral Chain Diverter can be designed for MatTop chain from 6" to 24".
Other variations include a manual hand crank for lane selection, a pneumatically controlled lane changes or VFD motor control.
The hand wheel operated Lateral Chain Diverter allows for manually adjusting the lane between production runs. The safety cover can be removed and placed on either side of the chain.
The Lateral Chain Diverter utilizes side-flexing MatTop chain.
The Lateral Chain Diverter is designed for the specific application required. Speeds, lane configurations, chain selection is dependent on the desired goals for the project.
A servo controlled 1:3 diverter solution, the chain is programmed to pause while it moves to another position, maintaining the integrity of the product.
