Second Shift.  A Press Brake Operator runs a computer-controlled machine that cut, forms various materials. Main duties include identifying parts on shop orders, forming (bending) various steel and plastic conveyor components, loading programs into the press control and inspecting components for correct bend angles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  1. Set up and maintain the press brake machine to keep it in good working order.
  2. Shape multiple types of metal, primarily sheet metal. 
  3. Load pieces of metal into the machine for shaping or straightening, align and position metal to achieve specific shapes.
  4. Read and follow detailed blueprints and schematics.
  5. Inspect and monitor sheet metal as it’s being shaped.  Inspecting the fresh sheet metal for imperfections and overall quality.
  6. Follow company, state, and federal safety regulations. 
  7. Must wear PPE and keep work areas clean and well organized.
  8. Document and file daily production results.
  9. Other duties as assigned.


  1. Work with hands.
  2. Must be able to lift and move large pieces of metal.
  3. Ability to stand for hours at a time.
  4. Good analytical skills.
  5. Have a great attention for detail.
  6. Verbal communication skill is necessary to work in a collaborative environment.
  7. A valid driver’s license
  8. Experience with multiple measuring tools and can make precise measurements using metric and US Measuring systems, which requires strong measuring skills.
  9. Computer skills.  Operators need to understand CAD technology.
  10. Time management skills is a must to be able to work within deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
