Mechanical Assembler

Summary:

A mechanical assembler produces state-of-the-art conveyor and packaging machinery by assembling parts and subassemblies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  2. Position parts and subassemblies by following assembly instructions and drawings
  3. Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies
  4. Verifies specifications by measuring completed conveyor sections
  5. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; reporting malfunctions
  6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  7. Provide on-the-job training for new employees when appropriate
  8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  9. Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to retain information with regard to standard assembly/disassembly procedures
  2. A strong mechanical aptitude
  3. Ability to read an inch tape measure
  4. A valid driver’s license
  5. Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Overtime as needed
