Flights
The vertical accumulator uses custom-designed flights to handle products gently and effectively. Accumulation time is determined by the height of the unit, and a stop device is required to stop and stage rows of product before indexing.
Operations
During normal operation, product passes straight through the accumulator.

If a downstream malfunction occurs – The accumulator indexes rows of product upward until it’s full or production resumes.

When cleared – The accumulator reverses, depositing rows back onto the transportation conveyor.

Easy Maintenance & Adjustable Sizing
Nercon’s vertical accumulator is designed for smooth, controlled product flow and easy maintenance. An optional sensor, controlled by a selector switch, is available to automatically adjust for the correct product width to accommodate various package sizes.
Side Load Model
The Side Load model uses pushers for infeed and discharge. Depending on the product and carrier design, both sides of the accumulator may be used for storage.
Flex Flow Accumulator
The Flex Flow accumulator operates on the concept of an expandable travel path, which automatically changes length to match fluctuations in production.

Side Load and Dual Flight Models for Flexible Product Handling
The Side Load model is typically used for lighter-weight products. Depending on the application, both flights can be used for storage. The Dual Flight model is used for heavier products. The amount of accumulation is determined by the flight lengths and the height of the unit.
Product Handling Applications
The Vertical Accumulator is best utilized when vertical space is available in high volume packaging lines with thirteen to fourteen indexes per minute possible. A versatile unit, the vertical accumulator can handle many types of product shapes.
