Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? Explore our FAQs to learn more about optimizing your conveyor systems, improving line efficiency, and making the most of your equipment and controls.
What are the different types of conveyor belt materials?
Conveyor belts are often made from a form of plastic, but can also be made from cloth or rubber material. Conveyor chains, sometimes referred to as belts, are made from plastic or steel.
How do we minimize lead times for conveyor production?
Lead times for conveyor production are dependent upon having all of the right information for the application when design and engineering begin. From there, supply chain and the manufacturing processes of the OEM largely impact lead times. Having control over the fabrication and assembly significantly shortens the time for production, especially when all of the work is done by the same OEM right here in teh UNited States. Domestic production eliminates costly delays in the supply chain.
What are the benefits of Lean Manufacturing?
Lean manufacturing offers the highest efficiency throughout the production process. It also ensures the highest quality for your system. This means the system will perform as expected when installed, avoiding delays caused by poor craftsmanship that can be present if lean principles are not present.
What industries does Nercon serve?
Nercon serves all consumer-packaged goods industries, including, but not limited to, dairy, meat/poultry, produce, beverage, snack, bakery, pet food, frozen foods, health and beauty and pharmaceuticals.
Does Nercon offer testing before delivery?
Nercon offers factory acceptance testing before equipment is shipped to the customer. In addition, when Nercon's expert controls team designs and installs the controls for the conveyor system, that is also tested in a controlled environment to ensure fast and reliable startup upon installation.
How do we ensure the quality of our conveyor systems?
Built on 50 years of knowledge and backed by 50 years of experience focused on conveyor applications, we have seen just about everything. Combine that with our continuous improvement philosopy, our lean manufacturing practices, and our factory testing, there is no doubt our systems are built to last.
