Spare Parts Coordinator

Summary:
The Spare Parts Coordinator will be responsible for assisting customers to fulfill spare parts orders. This entails generating accurate quotes and processing orders within Nercon's system. This is a customer-facing position that requires an eye for detail, technically oriented, a high level of accuracy, and strong customer responsiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop quotes and budgets for spare parts requests.
- Interface with Application Proposal group and customers to verify spare parts requirements.
- Generate requests for, and evaluate bids from, outside vendors/suppliers for materials and subcontracted services.
- Research in document manager for purchased and manufactured parts solutions.
- Using CAD software to view drawings.
- Prepare new order and change order paperwork.
- Maintain accurate data for opportunities in CRM system, when applicable.
- Interface with the key internal personnel when needed.
- Actively participate in department-related process improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers as well as multiple internal departments.
- Ability to view basic two-dimensional and three-dimensional mechanical layout designs using computer aided design tools such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and Inventor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Use appropriate problem-solving methods to identify, analyze, and solve problems in a sales and engineering environment.
- Ability to learn new concepts as well as utilize existing concepts to develop them into finished proposal solutions.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and plant/equipment layout drawings.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to financial and practical situations.
- Function effectively and productively within a team-focused work group.
- Have excellent customer service, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
- Sales experience and detailed understanding of a spare parts business.
- Possess logical problem-solving capabilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree or coursework in pursuit of a college / technical college degree is a plus. Two or more years of experience in automated capital equipment environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current driver's license with acceptable driving record as defined in Nercon Employee Handbook.
Physical Requirements:
Minimal level of physical exertion. Required to sit, reach, operate office equipment, walk, and stand.
Environmental Requirements:
Majority of time spent in an office. When on production floor, safety PPR is required as needed.
