The Flexibility and Versatility of Spiral Conveyor Systems

Updated 4/15/2026
Spiral Conveyors are a compact and versatile elevating solution. Spiral Conveyors can be designed to carry product between floors and machines or over aisles. They can also be designed to handle a wide range of consumer packages across various manufacturing environments.
How Spiral Conveyors Work
This Spiral Conveyor design allows three different case sizes to be conveyed without any changeover. A friction-top chain is also used to ensure smooth, positive conveying without disturbing the cases. Designed with a uniform slope, the Spiral Conveyor ensures smooth operation without disturbing the product. Another feature is a powered roller transfer to help cases travel over the “gap” between the in-feed conveyors and the spiral system.
Custom Build Spiral Conveyors to Work For Your Needs
Spiral Conveyor systems are also versatile. These systems can be constructed from mild steel for a dry environment or with stainless steel construction for a wash-down environment. Additional sanitary features on this spiral elevator include spaced-off sanitary channel supports, a polymer housing, a plated insert, and spaced-off bearings.
Performance and Speed
Operating speeds up to 150 feet per minute are attainable, depending upon the height change, product size, and weight. The Spiral Conveyor is adaptable to customer requirements. Multiple lanes, slope, and chain widths are available, ranging from 3 1/4" to 15" (double 7 1/2"). The infeed and discharge location is also variable depending on the application.
