Conveyor Systems Manufacturers: 3 Reasons to Check Out Nercon at PACK Expo 2021

August 31, 2021

It’s back! PACK EXPO 2021 is coming to Las Vegas on Sept. 27—29, 2021, showcasing advanced packaging equipment, materials and containers from packaging and processing exhibitors coming together from around the globe. Nercon will be at PACK EXPO with some of our customer’s favorite conveyor systems, and here are three reasons to come check us out at Booth C-1828.

1. Be one of the first to see our new 270° washdown spiral orientation

Developed based on requests from customers with limited space who needed a conveying solution with elevation changes to save space, Nercon's new 270° conveyor orientation is now available in the Washdown Spiral conveyor. Nercon's first-of-a kind washdown spiral conveyor was designed specifically with food-safety in mind. Utilizing our HydroCore® design, all the features included in the Washdown Spiral make this a perfect conveyor system for hygenic environments.

2. See conveyor systems in person and get your questions answered

Watch our full-size conveyor systems solutions in action as we demo how our Sanitary Flat Belt Conveyor, Adjustable Guide Rails, Re-Flow Accumulation Table, Sanitary Z Incline Conveyor, Retractable Conveyor Gate, Spirex™, Rotary Accumulation Table and Washdown Spiral move product and keep your operations running effieciently. Our conveyor experts will be on hand to answer your questions - drop by for a demo or schedule a booth meeting. Email Steve Anklam at sanklam@nercon.com or call 844-293-2814

3. Experience the ProCore® Advantage for yourself

Nercon's ProCore® conveyor systems are a pre-engineered line of conveyors purposefully designed to provide manufacturers with a reliable conveyor solution to help them drive speed and reduce overall costs. All ProCore® solutions are tested in Nercon's facilities before they ever make it onto a customer's production floor to ensure high-quality solutions are ready to run efficiently and add immediate productivity. The "Pro" stands for proven, with the base of all ProCore® conveyors engineered, manufactured and highly tested at our facilities in Wisconsin. The "Core" is for the core competencies or the common components that were developed based on what's worked best for our clients since Nercon's inception in 1976.

"The driving force behind the ProCore® brand was to get our customers a consistent base that improves accuracy and quality." said John Patz, a member of Nercon's R&D team for more than five years. "Now we also have a library of accessories and components like clamps, product stops, pushers or other devices that can be added to further customize conveyor systems for our customers."

And ProCore® conveyors are interchangeable with many modular parts, meaning customers can change components out sporadically and as needed, rather than waiting for a custom build. It also means they can add pieces in the short-term as they wait for a new budget or order to come through.

"The big advantage of working with Nercon is that we look at complete set-ups and lines or series where our competitors are more modular and simply take an order," Patz said. "It takes a little bit more time upfront, but we know it pays off when we see the whole picture and can recommend and develop better conveying solutions that fit for our customers now and into the future."

"Every project we work on is different and the requirements our customers bring to us are changing, primarily with the objective of fitting the conveying solution into the tightest amount of space possible," Jason Gazzana, Nercon Account Manager, said. "Because ProCore® conveyors are interchangeable and flexible, we're able to quickly develop and provide a solution that improves line speed and reduces downtime."

The ProCore® Advantage

All ProCore® solutions are tested in Nercon’s facilities before they ever make it onto a customer’s production floors to ensure high-quality solutions are ready to run efficiently and add immediate productivity to any production floor. ProCore® conveyors are:

  • Highly engineered by Nercon’s in-house research and development group
  • Designed for flexibility
  • Manufactured for quick delivery
  • Tested for increased up-time performance
  • Competitively priced
  • Carefully selected components for reliability, improved design and service
  • Equipment can be modified to meet customer preferences

“We have always had positive feedback on our ProCore® lineup because we can do things quicker and the quality is there,” Gazzana explained. “It’s a proven concept. It's equipment they've seen before so they know what to expect. We test their products inhouse and are able to show them videos of this to demonstrate that it works.”

And while Nercon’s innovative ProCore® lineup has been around and built upon for 10+ years, there’s more innovations on the horizon.

“We’re always working to improve the ProCore® line,” said Erik Schiebel, Nercon Mechanical Design Engineer. “Soon we will be releasing several improvements, including a low-profile belt conveyor, new spiral designs for additional ways to incline or decline products, as well as new product accumulation equipment. There’s been a decent amount of customer demand for these things, so we’re working quickly to be able to meet it.”
